Day 1 - Flight, Delays, Arrival, and Missing Luggage!

Well, all is great today.

There were a few hiccups.

Flight out of Dulles was 30 minutes delayed. Lots of turbulence, so little sleep.

Forgot to pack chargers in my carryon so all my electronics died. No phone, AirPods, iPad or watch!!

The flight landed in Munich late and I had to run to the Lufthansa gate. Just made it as they were closing the door. Felt great about that. However, sadly my luggage didn’t make it onto that flight. So, hopefully my luggage will arrive at the hotel today.

Catania is exquisite. The view from my hotel room is breathtaking. Hotel Villa Schuler is amazing!!

Met amazing people. Thank you Vicki for loaning me a sweater last night. Had no idea that it would be so chilly.

The food is incredible. Raw seafood crudo, amazing wines, sheep’s milk ricotta cannoli.

So off to today’s adventures.
